Record the periodontal status, set it beside the previous measurement and see at once whether the gums are improving.
Mr De Vries is coming in for periodontal aftercare. This is how it goes in Odontium, and this is what you no longer have to do alongside it.
Request for care, complaints, lifestyle and the risks of caries, periodontal disease and wear, recorded by whoever saw the patient last. You read it before the patient is in the chair, and add what you see today.
Pocket depth, recession, plaque, bleeding, furcation and mobility, upper and lower. Duplicate sets the previous status up for today, Compare counts what has changed since. Odontium works out the plaque and bleeding index itself.
The perio panel shows the codes that fit where the patient is in the treatment: examination, deep cleaning per tooth or quadrant, aftercare and evaluation. With your own AGB code you are recorded as the practitioner on the procedure automatically.
On the prevention card you score each tooth. The DPSI or PPS works itself out, and you tick off the instruction plan: electric toothbrush, interdental brush, dietary advice.
The recall is on the worklist, showing who has been called, texted or emailed. After two attempts without a reply, the recall goes by post.
Say the values as you measure. Odontium puts each value on the right site, in your practice's measuring order, and the indices keep up. "Correction" removes the last value. Dictation runs on the computer in the practice.
Dictation in the periodontal chart
Speak pocket depths and bleeding with F9 or the microphone, and keep your hands with the patient.
Radiography
Odontium talks to the X-ray equipment you already have. The patient is ready on the device, the image lands on the right record by itself, and you view, measure and compare it without switching programs.
Online calendar
Patients request an appointment themselves through your website. You approve or decline it, and the patient gets a confirmation automatically.
SMS reminders
Pick a day, check the text and send the reminders for every appointment at once. Odontium fills in the name, time and practitioner.
Many practices employ a dental hygienist, or work with a regular denturist. In Odontium everyone works in the same record, each with their own permissions and their own calendar. No separate systems for you to connect yourself.
Yes. With Odontium you claim on your own, as an independent practice too, without going through a dentist.
The periodontal chart records DPSI, pocket depths and the bleeding index. Per tooth you see where pockets have become deeper or shallower since the previous measurement. You can also dictate pocket depths and bleeding.
Yes. Dentist and dental hygienist work in the same record, each with their own permissions and their own calendar.
