From first meeting to go-live

Five clear steps, and you are never on your own. Our team guides you personally through the whole process.

Step 1: Free Demo (30 minutes – 2 hours)

In a personal online demo we show how Odontium fits your practice. We take the time to understand how you work and answer all your questions, so that you have a clear picture before you decide anything.

Step 2: A personal proposal (within 3 working days)

Every practice is different. So we put together a proposal that fits your situation: the number of users, the modules you want, and the choice between cloud and an on-premise installation.

Step 3: Secure data migration (transfer takes about 2 hours)

We move your data across: patient records, treatment history, calendar and financial administration. During this adoption period you can check that all the data is right before the real switch.

Step 4: Setup & guidance (Help that fits)

We set Odontium up together with you and tune the software to the way you work. Your team practises on your own data from the trial migration, not on sample data. That is more than training: you test, you ask questions, and you get help where you need it. Your X-ray, scanners, card terminal and phones stay in use: Odontium works with them.

Step 5: Go-live (You set the date)

When you are ready, your practice goes live. Because you have already used the software and your data is there, this step goes smoothly. For the first 2 weeks we keep a closer eye on things.

We stay involved after go-live too

Our guidance does not stop the moment you go live. If you have a question, run into something, or want advice, our support team is there — people who know the software and understand how a practice works.

What we do, and what we ask of you

A switch only works if both sides play their part. So we are clear in advance about what is expected of your practice, and you can plan around it.

Frequently asked questions about switching

Answers to the questions we hear most often, grouped by stage of the switch.

Before the switch

How long does switching take?

The whole process takes about four weeks on average, from the first conversation to go-live.

Can I switch without interrupting my practice?

Yes. We start with a trial migration in a test environment, so your practice keeps running until you decide on the go-live date yourself.

What happens to my current software during the switch?

Your old system stays available until you have fully switched over, and is only shut down in the first weeks after go-live.

Can I decide when we go live?

Yes. You set the go-live date yourself, and only after you have tested the software with your own data.

What does switching to Odontium cost?

Within a few working days you receive a personal proposal at a fixed price, so that the migration cost is clear up front.

During the switch

Can I still request changes during the trial migration?

Yes. During the trial migration in the test environment you can check everything and pass on any wishes before the real switch takes place.

Does my old system stay available during the switch?

Yes. Your old system stays available until you have fully switched over, so you are never without access to your data.

How much guidance do I get while the system is set up?

Our team guides you through the entire setup: from tailoring the software to training your team on your own data.

Can my team practise before we go live?

Yes. Your team practises on your own data during the trial migration, so everyone can find their way around before you officially go live.

What if something goes wrong during the migration?

Because we run a trial migration in a test environment first, any problems are caught there — your practice stays fully operational throughout the trial.

After the switch

Does the guidance stop once I am live?

No. Our guidance does not stop at go-live. Our support team stays available for questions and advice.

Do I get a dedicated point of contact after go-live?

Yes. The same people who guided your switch remain your point of contact after go-live.

Are updates included after the switch?

Yes. New features and updates are included at no extra cost. Because we develop continuously, you always have the latest capabilities.

Can new employees still be trained later on?

Yes. Further training is available for employees who join later, through courses at our offices.

How do I reach the support team?

You can reach our support team by phone, without a ticket system as the first step.
